Funding opportunities

Assistantships are available to students on a competitive basis. Teaching Assistants help professors with undergraduate courses, and once some experience is gained will teach a course on their own. Research Assistants help faculty with research and community projects. Assistantships may also be available through the Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management, the Partnership for Community Development, the Megapolitan Tourism Research Center, and the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department. Assistantships include a stipend with a full or partial tuition waiver. Assistantships are in addition to nine credits of course work per semester. If interested, students should indicate they would like to be considered for an assistantship in their application letters and complete the required application through the Graduate College (http://graduate.asu.edu/forms/index.html).

ASU offers a limited number of other financial assistance options including fellowships, diversity initiatives, and conference travel awards. For information on these opportunities, please see the Graduate College Financial Support Office web site (http://graduate.asu.edu/financial/index.htm).
